The Decemberists have been a constant source of inspiration for me for the past 3 years. I am excited to say I am seeing them at Radio City Music Hall in June, front row seats - best gift ever (thank you Meredith!). If you've never listened to them before, start with the tracks on their album Crane Wife. Then work your way backwards or get their newest album next. That is how I experienced them and it was perfect because it slowly introduced me to their unique sound. Crane Wife is played best from beginning to end. If you own a record player this band is for you... they were meant for vinyl.
